Raccoon Repellent ImageThe raccoon is native only to the Americas. The raccoon weighs anywhere from 10 to 30 pounds, is an excellent climber and a great swimmer. Usual raccoons only make their way into society is when they are breeding, trying to scavenge some food or caring for their babies.

So, as a nocturnal animal that occasionally enters our world and generally leads a relativelyprivate life…  why would anybody need raccoon repellent?

Why Do We Need Raccoon Repellent?

Raccoons are a real nuisance when they go on the prowl. Raccoons tend to consume and also contaminate feed (meant for livestock) with their urine and feces. They will also tear boards, siding and shingles off homes in search of food and shelter. Sometimes raccoons actually substitute chimneys for hollow trees… which is an obvious problem for homeowners. The raccoon is also fond of strawberries, peas, potatoes and sweet corn found in field crops. Raccoons will attack and kill chickens and even turkeys. Each of these problems is an obvious annoyance for us. Raccoons are no fun when they are damaging your property so using a raccoon repellent can eliminate many of these problems before they occur.
