Like the snake, lizards are not a problem for everyone in North America, however there are areas where encounters with lizards are commonplace. In these areas a lizard repellent may be just the thing you need.

The majority of North American lizards are not poisonous but many can give you a painful bite. There are two lizards in North America that are venomous (the Gila Monster and the Mexican Beaded Lizard) but you are unlikely to encounter these in your home or garden. What may be more of a worry is the potential for lizards to pass the salmonella bacteria to humas, which can lead of course lead to salmonella poisoning. Hence lizards may be an unwanted visitor to your food preparation surfaces.
