Roach Repellent Makes Cockroaches Scarper!

Roach Repellent ImageRoaches are insects that people hate having as visitors to their home. These creepy pests are not only scary looking but can be generally pretty awful to have around the home, so that’s why many of us rely on roach repellent.

Roaches like ants, set up nests and reproduce… and reproduce… and reproduce! If uncontrolled these tormenting roaches can take over your whole house.

The best way to repel roaches is to keep your kitchen and your bathroom clean. If you are experiencing a problem with roaches, you should clean everything with a very strong soap and then vacuum the house well. Once everything is vacuumed, the bag should be disposed of immediately. Placing the vacuum cleaner bag in a sealed, air-tight container before disposing of it, would also be a wise idea. Then it would be a good idea to use a roach repellent to properly secure your home against these "repellent" insects.

The Best Form Of Roach Repellent Is Prevention!

A roach repellent product that is recognized as effective is obviously something that helps to discourage the presence of roaches. As roaches are insects that prefer high places, they will likely travel to and from their nest via the top of cabinets and shelves. This would be the best places to target roaches with a roach repellent.

Recommended Roach Repellent Ingredients

Boric acid is recommended as a roach repellent. However, because boric acid is toxic if swallowed it is a wise idea to keep it out of reach of children and/or pets.If used properly though, placing boric acid in the roach’s path can be an extremely effective roach repellent. The roaches will take the boric acid back to their nest and kill every last roach in it.

Another effective roach repellent is catnip. Catnip contains an ingredient called nepetalactone. The great thing about catnip is that it isn’t toxic to pets or humans. Placing small sachets of catnip in a roach’s path creates an excellent roach repellent. You may also use a small amount of catnip to make catnip tea which you can then use as a spray in other areas of the home such as on baseboards and in cracks and corners. Please bear in mind though that common sense dictates that this roach repellent should not be used in any home that has cats!

You may want to consider roach traps. There are non-toxic roach traps that are sold commercially that might help you. Of course these are not so much roach repellents as you would use roach traps for an existing roach problem.

The Toxicity Of Roach Repellent

Roach Repellent For All Stages Of Roach Development!Finding a roach repellent that is non-toxic is important if it’s meant for a home environment. In order to protect children and pets from harmful toxins, buying a non-toxic cockroach repellent would be the best idea.
