Sand Flea Repellent – Stop The Bites!
Sand fleas are also sometimes also referred to as sand flies and are a problem in tropical and impoverished populations. In areas where sand fleas are present, there is actually a disease called sea flea disease. Anywhere that insects can spread disease you’ll usually require some form of repellent… in this case you need to be thinking about sand flea repellent.
Sand fleas are troublesome as they embed themselves in an individual’s skin and create lesions which are very uncomfortable. As with any lesions on the human body, particularly in hot or tropical areas, sand flea lesions can become sore or infected if they aren’t attended to. The best solution for avoiding the discomfort and problems related to sand flea disease is avoiding being bitten: a sand flea repellent is doubtlessly the safest and most effective method of warding off them off.
Sand Flea Repellent
Many studies have been carried out on substances that can be used specifically as sand flea repellents. One effective sand flea repellent is called Zanzarin. This repellent is derived from plant-based ingredients and studies have shown that applying Zanzarin twice a day works particularly well as a sand flea repellent.
One area where sand fleas appear to be a huge problem is Afghanistan: many American troops have to deal with them. In order to avoid sand flea bites soldiers need to use an effective sand flea repellent. Flea collars have actually been used by some soldiers in an attempt to keep the sand fleas away. However, this is not an effective or safe sand flea repellent: soldiers have sustained chemical burns from wearing flea collars so close to their skin.
Deet Sand Flea Repellents
The most effective form of sand flea repellent are products that contain Deet as its main active ingredient. Because Deet doesn’t wash off the skin easily, perhaps it is the ideal sand flea repellent for soldiers who are out all day, without the time or perhaps thought to reapply a sand flea repellent.
